ABOUT ATTI

The problem is perplexing..
For decades, internal combustion engines have dominated the transportation scene. Today alternative fuel technologies for individual and mass transit are emerging throughout America. Alternative fuel vehicles (AFVs) that emit low or "zero" emissions are becoming more prominent as more individuals and organizations become aware of their availability and benefits.

Major auto manufacturers, such as Toyota, Honda, GM, Ford and others, are continually developing AFVs designed for the general public. Major bus manufacturers, such as Optima and Ebus, are also conducting in-depth research into advanced propulsion systems, such as NiCd batteries and opportunity charging, that are capable of providing maximum performance and long-distance mass transportation with minimum emission levels. Georgetown University's methanol-fueled transit bus is a prime example of the mass transit advances being made in battery-assisted fuel cells and regenerative braking.

Every American is impacted by our nation's dependence on foreign oil for stationary and mobile fuel. All of us must face the destructive impact that petroleum products have on our environment. Although these problems are not new, the rapid industrialization of third world countries, the eruption in the use of private automobiles, and the very real threat of terrorism on oil supplies pose a real security threat to future generations of the United States in both the price of, and access to, petroleum fuels.

The solutions are available...
Today, Americans can choose from a growing number of advanced technology vehicles for individual and mass transit that operate on cleaner fuels instead of the nonrenewable petroleum that affects our world's ecology and economy and threatens our nation's security.

ATTI assists organizations across the country in developing and deploying today's evolving technologies for use in their communities. From fuel cells to opportunity charging using inductive power transfer, ATTI is at the center of efforts to solve our nation's petroleum dependence. Because every city or organization has unique fuel and service requirements, ATTI's skilled engineers help identify and deploy the alternative fuel vehicle program that best responds to local and regional needs.
